Statement of Need:
Neurological disorders impact millions of Americans each year. Physicians and the interdisciplinary health care team are to be updated in the latest medical and surgical treatments of neurological disease in order to offer patients the most effective treatment options. Topics to be discussed include: update on dementia sub-types and treatment, functional neurological disorders and their treatment, innovations in minimally invasive spine surgery, recent advances in migraine therapy, neuromuscular compression syndrome of trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm, immunosuppressive treatments for MS and their impact on COVID-19, minimally and non-invasive surgical procedures for essential tremor, updates in management of Parkinson’s disease, diagnosis and management of ALS, and treatment updates in epilepsy. There will be question and answer session open to the audience after each group of speakers during both days of the conference. In-depth knowledge of these neurological conditions, and state-of-the-science options for management will aid physicians and health care providers in planning the best strategies for successful patient outcomes.
